ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA — Tens of thousands of demonstrators are expected to gather at the Minnesota Capitol on Saturday for what organizers say will be the largest “No Kings” protest to date.
Event organizers estimate as many as 100,000 people could attend the St. Paul rally, which is being positioned as the flagship event among more than 3,000 protests planned nationwide. The demonstrations are aimed at opposing policies of the Trump administration.
The rally is expected to feature high-profile speakers and performers, including Sen. Bernie Sanders, Gov. Tim Walz, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and several musicians and activists. Organizers say the event reflects growing momentum following earlier protests that drew tens of thousands across Minnesota.
The state has become a focal point for demonstrations after a large federal immigration enforcement operation earlier this year. Officials said the operation involved thousands of agents and has been the subject of ongoing legal and political disputes.
Saturday’s event will include multiple marches converging at the Capitol, with programming scheduled throughout the afternoon.
Organizers say turnout could surpass previous protests, signaling continued political mobilization ahead of upcoming elections.
