WASHINGTON, D.C. — Organizers say more than 3,000 “No Kings” protests are planned across the United States this Saturday, in what could become one of the largest coordinated demonstrations in the nation’s history.
The protests are being led by Indivisible and allied groups, marking their third nationwide mobilization opposing President Donald Trump and his policies. Organizers claim previous waves drew millions, with estimates of more than 5 million participants in June and over 7 million in October across thousands of events.
Indivisible co-executive director Ezra Levin said the upcoming demonstrations reflect growing frustration with what he described as “corruption, cruelty, and authoritarianism.” He added that the March 28 protests could surpass previous turnout levels and become the largest single-day protest in U.S. history.
Organizers are emphasizing a decentralized approach, encouraging participation not only in major cities but also in suburban and rural communities. Supporters say this strategy broadens access and strengthens local engagement.
Leaders from partner organizations, including MoveOn Civic Action, framed the protests as a response to concerns about governance, economic fairness, and immigration policy, while promoting broader civic participation.
