The White House confirmed Tuesday that far-right activist Laura Loomer met with Vice President J.D. Vance, but denied she holds any advisory role. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt acknowledged the meeting without disclosing its content and emphasized, “she is not” advising Vance, formally or informally.
Loomer, a staunch ally of Donald Trump, is known for spreading anti-Muslim rhetoric and conspiracy theories about 9/11. Though not officially affiliated with the Trump administration, Loomer has remained influential, raising personnel concerns in a previous Oval Office meeting with Trump that led to firings of National Security Council staff.
Trump has called her a “great patriot” and noted he sometimes considers her recommendations. Despite this, Loomer has also criticized Trump decisions, including accepting a private jet gift from Qatar.
The vice president’s office did not comment on the purpose of her latest meeting. Loomer’s ongoing proximity to Trump-world continues to raise questions about her influence inside the administration.
