The United Kingdom and the United States are forming a new energy partnership aimed at increasing energy security and lowering prices.
According to the UK government, the new partnership will “drive work to reduce global reliance on Russian energy exports.”
The United Kingdom-United States Energy Security and Affordability Partnership, as it is known, will be led by a U.K.-U.S. Joint Action Group.
Among other things, the group will work to ensure that the market ramps up supplies of liquefied natural gas from the United States to the United Kingdom.
