A federal judge has ordered President-elect Donald Trump to give an in-person deposition next week in his defamation lawsuit against ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos. The lawsuit, filed in March, accuses Stephanopoulos of defaming Trump by stating he was “found liable for rape” during a March 10 interview with Rep. Nancy Mace.

Trump alleges Stephanopoulos acted with “actual malice” and made false statements. Magistrate Judge Lisette Reid ordered Trump’s deposition, to occur in the Southern District of Florida, limited to four hours. Stephanopoulos is also required to sit for a four-hour deposition, in person or remotely, next week.
