Donald Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, criticized General Mark Milley after reports surfaced that Milley described Trump as “fascist to the core.” The remark was included in journalist Bob Woodward’s book War and was reported by The Independent and other outlets. Milley, who was appointed as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by Trump in 2018, allegedly told Woodward that Trump is “the most dangerous person” in the U.S.
Cheung responded by calling Milley a “woke train-wreck” and accused him of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He also criticized Woodward, referring to him as a “washed-up fiction writer,” and suggested that Milley’s poor job performance contributed to the Afghanistan withdrawal issues.
