WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump sharply criticized several prominent conservative media figures Thursday after they broke with him over the U.S. war in Iran.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump targeted Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, accusing them of opposing his administration’s military actions and defending Iran. He dismissed their views and launched personal attacks, calling them “stupid people” and “troublemakers.”
The criticism marks a notable split between Trump and influential voices on the political right, many of whom had supported him in the past but have raised concerns about U.S. involvement in Iran. Trump argued their stance runs counter to his “Make America Great Again” movement and defended the military operation.
The dispute comes as tensions remain high over the conflict, with debate growing across political lines. Some former allies, including Marjorie Taylor Greene, have also voiced criticism of the administration’s approach.
Trump’s remarks also included inaccurate claims about Carlson’s background and renewed criticism of Jones related to past controversies.
The White House has simultaneously increased its pushback against broader media criticism of the war as the situation in Iran continues to evolve.
