WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump sharply criticized conservative commentator Tucker Carlson following the release of new polling showing Carlson’s standing among Republican voters.

In a Truth Social post, Trump mocked Carlson and other conservative media figures, citing a recent UMass Lowell poll highlighted by CNN. The survey found 31% of Republicans held a favorable view of Carlson, while 24% viewed him unfavorably.

Trump contrasted those numbers with his own support in the same poll, where 77% of Republicans reported a favorable opinion of the president. His comments included personal attacks on Carlson and other commentators, reflecting growing tensions within conservative media and political circles.

The dispute comes as Carlson has increasingly criticized Trump’s handling of U.S. military operations involving Iran. Carlson recently accused the president of disrespecting religion after a social media post referencing Islamic language, adding to friction between the two figures.

The exchange highlights a broader divide within the Republican Party, where some media voices have broken with Trump on foreign policy decisions while others remain supportive.
