WASHINGTON, D.C. — Large-scale demonstrations unfolded across the United States on Saturday as part of the third “No Kings” protest movement, with organizers claiming millions participated in coordinated events opposing the Trump administration.
More than 3,000 events took place nationwide, alongside additional rallies in over a dozen countries. Organizers described the turnout as potentially one of the largest protest mobilizations in U.S. history, though independent verification of total attendance remains limited.
Major gatherings occurred in cities including Minneapolis, New York City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago. In Minnesota’s Twin Cities, organizers estimated roughly 200,000 participants. Public figures such as Sen. Bernie Sanders and entertainer Bruce Springsteen appeared at events, while local and national activists highlighted issues ranging from immigration enforcement to economic concerns and foreign policy.
Demonstrators carried signs and chanted messages opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. involvement in overseas conflicts, and broader administration policies. In New York City, political leaders and activists led marches through Manhattan, while protests in Washington included groups raising concerns about federal spending and international conflicts.
Smaller demonstrations were also reported in Republican-leaning areas, suggesting broader geographic participation. Counterprotests occurred in some locations, including Florida.
The White House criticized the demonstrations, characterizing them as politically driven events backed by activist networks, while organizers emphasized their nonviolent approach and ongoing efforts beyond the protests.
