President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is receiving significant financial support from a range of major corporations, with contributions expected to surpass those of past ceremonies. These donations include commitments from companies across various industries. Several organizations that previously paused political donations after Jan 6, 2021, have resumed their contributions, indicating a shift in their approach to political giving.
Notable corporate donors span sectors including automotive, technology, finance, and pharmaceuticals. Companies such as Toyota, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and others have pledged seven-figure donations, while some executives have also contributed personally. These funds and in-kind contributions are anticipated to support the organization of the inauguration and its associated activities. Some have accused these donations of political pandering for favoritism under the Trump Administration.
