Vice President Kamala Harris is set for an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Wednesday in Pennsylvania, marking her first sit-down with the network. This interview represents a shift in her media strategy as she broadens her outreach during the final phase of the presidential campaign. Previously, Harris granted interviews to outlets like CNN, CBS’s 60 Minutes, and other friendly platforms such as The View and Howard Stern’s show.

The Fox News interview, airing at 6 p.m. ET, will be Harris’s first engagement with a news network outside her typical ideological circle. Baier, Fox’s chief political anchor, is recognized for his objective reporting, unlike many of the network’s conservative commentators.

Harris has been stepping up her media presence after facing earlier criticism for avoiding interviews, contrasting her openness with Donald Trump’s refusal to release medical records and turning down a 60 Minutes interview. During a recent speech in North Carolina, Harris questioned why Trump’s staff might be keeping him away from public scrutiny, suggesting concerns over his stability.
