DETROIT, Michigan — Former Vice President Kamala Harris sharply criticized President Donald Trump’s handling of the Iran conflict during a speech to the Michigan Democratic Women’s Caucus, accusing him of being influenced by foreign leadership.

Harris said Trump was “pulled into” the war by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arguing the escalation was not aligned with the interests of the American public. She claimed the conflict risks U.S. service members’ safety and could lead to broader economic consequences, including rising gas prices.

Harris also suggested the timing of the conflict was politically motivated, describing it as a “feeble attempt to distract” from issues tied to Jeffrey Epstein. She framed the administration’s foreign policy as destabilizing, warning it could weaken U.S. alliances and global reliability.

In her remarks, Harris called the Trump administration the “most corrupt, callous and incompetent” in U.S. history and described the president as “insecure,” adding that his leadership has failed across multiple fronts.

The speech comes as Harris continues to make public appearances that have fueled speculation about a potential 2028 presidential run, while Democrats increasingly focus on foreign policy and national security issues ahead of future elections.
