Prosecutors, led by David Weiss, highlighted Biden’s addiction through witnesses, including Jason Brewer, an FBI chemist, and Joshua Romig from the DEA. They provided evidence of cocaine residue and text messages indicating Biden’s drug purchases. Former romantic partners, including Zoe Kestan and Hallie Biden, testified about his drug use.
Biden’s defense argues he might have believed he was no longer an addict after rehab. The defense case is expected to be brief, with no indication yet if Biden will testify.
