Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that if re-elected, he would bring Tom Homan, a contributor to Project 2025, into his administration. During an interview with California’s KFI radio, Trump mentioned Homan when asked about immigration plans, saying, “You’ve seen Tom. He’s coming on board.”

Homan, a former acting ICE director under Trump, oversaw the controversial family separation policy at the U.S.-Mexico border. He has also contributed to Project 2025, a conservative policy document advocating mass detention and deportation of undocumented immigrants.

Homan, who also worked with the Heritage Foundation, has publicly dismissed criticism of the family separation policy. Trump continues to distance himself from Project 2025, though many of its contributors worked in his previous administration.
