Sen. Elizabeth Warren released a scathing report Tuesday accusing Elon Musk of using his role as a special government employee in the Trump administration to benefit his private companies. The 130-point report outlines alleged conflicts of interest and ethics violations during Musk’s leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
The report claims Musk’s net worth has surged by over $100 billion since Election Day and details how his companies — including Tesla, SpaceX, X, Neuralink, and The Boring Company — allegedly received favorable treatment. Sections highlight the use of government resources to promote Musk’s ventures and interference with regulatory agencies.
The White House dismissed the findings. “Elon Musk has done more to improve the lives of Americans in 100 days than Sen. Warren has in a decade,” said spokesperson Harrison Fields, calling the report “toothless.”
Warren’s document also accuses Musk of undermining transparency and ethics oversight within federal agencies.
