Former President Donald Trump promised during a town hall in Fayetteville, North Carolina, that he would revert the name of Fort Liberty back to Fort Bragg if elected. The base, renamed last year to remove the association with Confederate General Braxton Bragg, is the largest military installation in the U.S. Trump, who criticized the original name change during his presidency, told the crowd, “We get elected, I’m doing it,” receiving strong applause.
