President Donald Trump will host a private dinner with a high-profile group of technology executives at the White House on Thursday night, with top names from the AI and tech industries confirmed to attend.
The guest list includes Apple CEO Tim Cook, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Oracle CEO Safra Catz, among others. The event will be held in the Rose Garden, now converted into a permanent outdoor dining space modeled after Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
Notably absent is Elon Musk, once tapped to lead Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency. Musk reportedly fell out with the president earlier this year following a canceled NASA nomination for Shift4 CEO Jared Isaacman, a Musk associate.
“The Rose Garden Club at the White House is the hottest place to be in Washington,” said White House spokesman Davis Ingle, adding the president looks forward to “many dinners to come.”
The dinner follows a meeting of the new White House Artificial Intelligence Education task force, chaired by First Lady Melania Trump. Some of the dinner guests are expected to participate in the AI-focused initiative aimed at American youth.
