Former President and GOP candidate Donald Trump addressed immigration during his one-hour speech in Las Vegas, criticizing border control issues and crimes committed by some illegal immigrants. “Our country is under invasion just like an army,” Trump declared.
He referenced Venezuelan gangs allegedly overtaking an apartment complex in Colorado and vowed to establish a special task force to “eliminate every foreign gang and organized crime network.” He also expressed concern over the impact of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, a town of 60,000 where 20,000 Haitians have been relocated.
This marked Trump’s first rally in Nevada since June, as recent polling shows a close race between him and Vice President Kamala Harris in the state.
