Senator Lindsey Graham acknowledged former President Donald Trump’s role in the approval of over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine during a Fox News Sunday interview. He highlighted the loan component of the aid, attributing its inclusion to Trump.

Earlier, Trump had expressed support for structuring some Ukraine aid as loans during a meeting with House Speaker Mike Johnson at Mar-a-Lago. Trump has been advocating for loans as the primary form of foreign aid to Ukraine on his social media platform, Truth Social.

Polish President Andrzej Duda and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán have expressed their beliefs about Trump’s stance on the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Duda believes Trump would end the war within 24 hours if reelected, while Orbán stated that Trump would not fund Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

Graham’s comments have sparked reactions on social media platform X. The foreign aid bill includes approximately $7.9 billion in economic assistance to Ukraine and mandates agreement on repayment by the Ukrainian government. The president can cancel up to 50 percent of the loan after November 15, 2024, subject to congressional review.
