Former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is criticizing a pro-Kamala Harris group for using her name. “Haley Voters for Harris,” backed by PivotPAC, aims to encourage Haley supporters to vote for Harris in November. Initially named “Haley Voters for Biden,” the group rebranded after Biden withdrew from the race.

Haley, who has directed her delegates to support Donald Trump, denounced the group in a statement: “Kamala Harris and I are total opposites on every issue. Any attempt to use my name to support her or her agenda is deceptive and wrong.” Lawyers for Haley demanded the group cease using her name, calling it misleading.

In response, “Haley Voters for Harris” argued they “will not be suppressed” and plan to review the legal letter. They clarified that they don’t claim to speak for Haley, but aim to reach Haley’s supporters who might consider voting for Harris. Haley, after suspending her campaign, has endorsed Trump for the upcoming election.
