Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will co-host a private reception for Donald Trump’s inauguration alongside prominent Republican donors. Scheduled for Monday evening before the inaugural balls, the event will also feature co-hosts Miriam Adelson, Tilman Fertitta, Todd Ricketts, and Sylvie Légère, according to sources.
Zuckerberg, once critical of Trump—banning him from Facebook and Instagram after the January 6 Capitol attack—has recently sought to rebuild ties. He dined with Trump at Mar-a-Lago in November and directed Meta to donate $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund.
Meta declined to comment on the event. Last week, Zuckerberg announced changes to Meta’s content moderation policies, including replacing third-party fact-checking with user-driven “community notes.” Trump claimed this shift stemmed from his pressure on Zuckerberg.
