President Joe Biden told ABC News that he will accept a jury’s decision in his son Hunter Biden’s criminal trial and will not pardon him if convicted.
In an interview with David Muir in Normandy, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day, Biden confirmed he would not use his presidential power to pardon his son, who faces three federal gun-related charges in Delaware. He also affirmed he would accept the trial’s outcome.
The White House previously stated Biden would not pardon Hunter, who is also set for a federal tax trial in September. Biden emphasized his love and support for his son and criticized former President Donald Trump for undermining the rule of law by rejecting his own recent trial verdict.
