Former President Trump has recently criticized independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., despite previously praising him as a potential rival to President Biden. In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump insinuated that Kennedy was in the race to aid Biden’s reelection and dismissed Kennedy’s running mate, Nichole Shanahan, as a non-serious candidate.

Trump labeled Kennedy as a “Democrat ‘Plant’” and a “Radical Left Liberal,” suggesting that voting for Kennedy would be a “wasted protest vote.” This marks a shift from his previous comments where he had endorsed Kennedy’s campaign as “great for MAGA.”

Trump also claimed that Kennedy, whom he described as the “most Radical Left Candidate,” would take votes from Biden, which he saw as beneficial for America. However, a recent NBC News poll indicated that Kennedy’s campaign could potentially jeopardize Trump’s chances of returning to the White House. The poll showed Trump leading Biden by 2 points in a head-to-head matchup, but Biden took the lead when third-party candidates were included.
