Trump further commented on Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, calling her even more liberal than Kennedy and hinting at potential legal challenges they might face, including “Environmental Fraud” indictments.

Kennedy, at an event in Oakland, California, introduced Shanahan as his vice president pick, praising her achievements and background as a daughter of immigrants. Despite lagging in national polls with about 9.9% support compared to Trump’s 41.5% and Biden’s 39.1%, Kennedy’s bid has stirred discussions.

Democrats have expressed concern over Kennedy’s candidacy, with some accusing him of acting as a spoiler for Biden and alleging his campaign is supported by GOP funds. Representatives from the Democratic National Committee have openly criticized Kennedy, urging him to withdraw from the race.
