A 15-year-long criminal plan to cheat tax authorities was carried out by Donald Trump’s real estate company, which has added to the former president’s legal troubles as he runs for office again in 2024.
The Trump Organization, which manages hotels, golf courses, and other properties throughout the globe, is now facing fines of up to $1.6 million after a jury found the business guilty of all allegations.
Reporters were informed that the Trump Organization would appeal by attorney Alan Futerfas.
According to Futerfas, the statute that makes it possible for a firm to be found liable if executives commit crimes “in behalf of” the company is ambiguous.
In this case, Trump was not indicted.
