Centreville, Virginia — A 21-year-old man was arrested Monday following a weeks-long series of burglaries and attempted break-ins that unsettled residents in a Fairfax County neighborhood, police said.

Authorities identified the suspect as Sedrick Walker, who is accused of targeting homes in the London Towne area between early March and April 1. Police allege Walker carried out the incidents while naked except for sneakers and a covering over his head. No injuries were reported, and officials said nothing was stolen, though residents described growing fear during the incidents.

Investigators said they received community tips suggesting the suspect lived nearby, prompting a coordinated surveillance operation involving undercover officers, K-9 units, and drones. Just before 5 a.m. Monday, Walker reportedly exited his residence naked, triggering a pursuit captured on drone footage. He briefly fled before returning home, where he was taken into custody.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said the situation had raised concerns about potential escalation, noting it was “only a matter of time” before someone could have been harmed. Residents expressed relief following the arrest, praising law enforcement efforts.

Walker faces multiple charges, including burglary, attempted burglary, and indecent exposure. Police said he had no prior criminal record and that a motive has not yet been determined.
