Former President Donald Trump has vociferously responded to a New York judge’s ruling that prohibits him from managing companies in the state for three years and mandates him to pay over $350 million. Following Judge Arthur Engoron’s decision in a high-profile fraud case, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to denounce the ruling, stating, “there were No Victims, No Damages, No Complaints.” He labeled the case as a “witch hunt” and criticized both Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James, asserting the fine was unjust and based solely on his success in building a “GREAT COMPANY.”

Trump called the judgment “unAmerican” against himself, his family, and his business, and described the decision as a “Complete and Total SHAM,” accusing James and Engoron of targeting him for political reasons. During remarks from his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump reiterated his belief that the legal challenges he faces are aimed at undermining his political ambitions as he prepares for a potential rematch with President Biden. He suggested that the lawsuits would not have occurred had he not been running for office, framing them as part of a broader effort to damage his presidential campaign.

The former president, who is also contending with 91 felony charges across four investigations, did not take questions after his statement. Trump’s response to the ruling included continued attacks on Engoron and personal attacks on James, whom he has called a “racist.” A gag order has been issued to prevent Trump and his attorneys from making disparaging remarks about court staff. Following the decision, the Trump campaign appealed for donations to “end the witch hunt” against him. Engoron’s 92-page decision marks a significant setback for Trump’s business dealings, concluding a trial that saw frequent criticism from Trump towards the judge and prosecutor involved.
