Washington, D.C. — Super PACs tied to President Donald Trump and Elon Musk are pouring tens of millions of dollars into key battleground races as Republicans fight to maintain control of Congress with less than eight weeks until Election Day.
The Trump-affiliated No Going Back PAC has reserved more than $24.9 million in television advertising across Alaska, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Ohio, according to AdImpact data cited by Reuters. Trump said last week that he plans to direct $400 million to $500 million toward helping Republican candidates.
Musk’s America PAC is also ramping up spending, including $2.4 million in the Texas Senate race, while Trump’s MAGA Inc. has committed $10 million there. Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing Democrat James Talarico in a race that has drawn increasing national attention.
Reuters reported that roughly $6.9 million of the Texas spending is going toward attack ads against Talarico. Musk’s PAC has separately spent more than $7 million on digital advertising, voter calls, text messages, mailers and other turnout efforts.
No Going Back is a new super PAC registered with the Federal Election Commission on Sept. 1. Although it is not formally affiliated with MAGA Inc., Reuters reported that the groups share the same treasurer, phone number and business address. The timing of its registration means full donor disclosure will not occur until late October.
The spending surge underscores how heavily Republicans are relying on outside money as several Senate and House races remain highly competitive heading into the Nov. 3 elections.
