President Donald Trump on Sunday intensified his criticism of Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford, labeling her a “DISASTER” and a “Liberal Lunatic” in a Truth Social post. Trump claimed Crawford was so far left that “even her own Party… don’t want ANYTHING to do with her,” urging voters to support conservative candidate Brad Schimel instead.
“Conservative, Strong and, above all, SANE,” Trump wrote of Schimel, framing him as a defender of Wisconsin values.
The high-stakes election on April 1 could shift control of the court from a 4-3 liberal majority to a conservative one if Schimel prevails. The race has attracted over $20 million in spending, with support for Schimel coming from Elon Musk’s super PAC and other conservative-aligned groups.
Musk, appearing at a Sunday night rally in Wisconsin, gave away two $1 million checks to voters who signed a petition opposing “activist judges.” He told the crowd the outcome would “affect the entire destiny of humanity.”
