Washington, DC — House Judiciary Committee Democrats released a sweeping staff report Monday detailing allegations from 11 women about President Donald Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and calling for an independent investigation into possible criminal conduct and the Justice Department’s handling of Epstein-related evidence.
The report includes a new account from former pageant contestant Beatrice Keul, who told committee investigators that Trump raped her during a 1993 pageant event at the Plaza Hotel. Keul previously described the encounter differently, and the report acknowledges that her latest account rests primarily on her interviews with committee staff.
Other allegations cited in the report involve women who say Trump assaulted or behaved inappropriately toward them while Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell was present. The report also cites FBI records and documents Democrats say remain improperly redacted or withheld.
No court has established that Trump participated in Epstein’s sex-trafficking crimes, and law enforcement has not charged him in connection with Epstein. Trump and the White House deny the allegations and accuse Democrats of making politically motivated claims.
The report further alleges that Justice Department officials improperly limited investigations and withheld material from Congress. Those accusations have not been adjudicated.
House Judiciary Democrats are asking for an independent special counsel and additional disclosure of Epstein-related records.
