Washington, DC — Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene delivered an unusually sharp rebuke of the Trump administration Wednesday, dismissing its investigation into Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar as “bullsh*t” and accusing the White House of focusing on political spectacle instead of everyday economic concerns.

Greene said she remains deeply opposed to Omar on abortion, gun rights and other policies, but questioned why the administration is prioritizing an effort that could potentially strip Omar of citizenship and deport her.

Her comments came shortly after The Wall Street Journal reported that the federal probe is examining whether Omar or her late father misrepresented her age during the immigration process in the 1990s. Federal agents searched Omar’s Washington-area home Monday as part of the investigation.

Greene argued that the case does nothing to lower gas prices, make health insurance more affordable, reduce grocery bills or keep U.S. troops out of foreign wars. She also criticized the administration over the still-unreleased Epstein files.

The intervention is striking because Greene and Omar have been bitter political adversaries for years.

Trump, meanwhile, denied directing the investigation but continued attacking Omar personally, calling her “totally crooked” and a “terrible person.” Omar has denied wrongdoing, and no charges have been announced.
