Elon Musk did not attend a court hearing on Thursday in connection with a lawsuit challenging a $1 million giveaway by his America PAC. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, a Democrat, filed the lawsuit on Monday, calling Musk’s lottery an “illegal” operation aimed at swing-state voters. America PAC’s daily prize of $1 million targets registered voters who support the PAC’s First and Second Amendment petition.
Musk, who has expressed strong support for former President Donald Trump, had been ordered to attend the court session. However, his legal team requested a transfer of the case to federal court on Wednesday night. John Summers, representing Krasner, stated, “We will proceed to federal court and… seek to have the matter remanded back to state court.”
America PAC continues its daily giveaway, recently posting images of winners from North Carolina. A new prize is set to be awarded every day leading up to Election Day.
