Payette, Idaho — An Idaho mother who publicly claimed vaccines caused the deaths of her 18-month-old twins has been charged with first-degree murder.

Andrea Shaw, 23, was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her twins, Dallas and Tyson, who were found dead in a shared bed on May 1, 2025. She was arrested in Boise on June 30 after a yearlong investigation.

Prosecutors allege Shaw suffocated the children. Shaw had previously appeared on a show produced by Children’s Health Defense, an anti-vaccine group formerly led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and said the twins died after receiving routine vaccinations.

Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, told KTVB he still believes the deaths were vaccine-related, while also saying he is not a medical expert. The public police statement did not identify vaccines as a cause and said further details would come through the court process.

Shaw is being held on a $2 million bond and could face life in prison or the death penalty if convicted. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 14.
