Miami, Florida — Influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested Saturday in Miami as British authorities seek their extradition on rape and sex trafficking charges.

The U.S. Marshals Service told the Associated Press that the brothers were taken into custody on a sealed warrant. They are expected to appear in federal court in Miami early next week.

British prosecutors said they are seeking extradition on charges alleging the brothers raped and trafficked women between 2010 and 2017. The U.K. Crown Prosecution Service said it is bringing 38 new charges involving four additional alleged victims, in addition to charges previously announced in 2025.

Both brothers deny the allegations. Their attorney, Joseph McBride, called the U.K. charges “filth and slander” and said the brothers would fight extradition.

Andrew Tate became widely known after appearing on “Big Brother” in 2016 and later built a massive online following through content promoting wealth, male dominance, and misogynistic views. He has been banned from several social media platforms for violating hate speech rules, though he remains active on X.

The brothers also face separate legal issues in Romania, where a trafficking case has been delayed by procedural problems.
