President Trump received a grand reception in Saudi Arabia early Tuesday, where Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed him at King Khalid International Airport alongside military bands, Arabian horse escorts, and a lavender carpet.
The reception included a formal greeting with top U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. As Air Force One neared Riyadh, Saudi F-15 fighter jets flew alongside the aircraft in a ceremonial escort.
At the Royal Court, Trump was greeted again by the crown prince for a coffee ceremony attended by hundreds of Saudi dignitaries and U.S. guests. Notable figures at the event included OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, BlackRock’s Larry Fink, and Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.
Later in the day, Trump will speak at the Saudi-U.S. Investment Forum and attend a state dinner at Diriyah At-Turaif. The visit marks the first stop of Trump’s Middle East tour, which also includes the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
