According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, former President Donald Trump’s assertion that he could have ended the Russia-Ukraine war “in 24 hours” if he had won the 2020 presidential election is unfounded.
Zelensky pointed out that Trump had already had the chance to intervene during his presidency but did not make it a priority to end the war.
Additionally, Zelensky stated that both Biden and Trump could have put an end to the conflict quickly by pressuring Ukraine to concede its territory, but the Ukrainian leadership refused to accept such terms.
