President Donald Trump confirmed Sunday that he has revoked security clearances for individuals he “doesn’t respect,” including former President Joe Biden, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“We think our country is not as safe when you gave [Biden] clearance,” Trump said, criticizing his handling of national security. He also aimed to prevent Biden from receiving daily intelligence briefings, citing concerns raised in former special counsel Robert Hur’s 2024 report on Biden’s handling of classified materials.
Trump previously revoked Secret Service protection for former national security adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
