Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump said Saturday that the latest release of documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “absolves” him of any wrongdoing, rejecting renewed scrutiny as politically motivated and hinting at legal action against a longtime critic.

Speaking to reporters following the Justice Department’s release of nearly three million additional Epstein-related documents, Trump said he was told by “very important people” that the records not only clear him but undermine claims raised by what he described as the “radical left.” The files are part of a broader disclosure effort involving material collected by federal authorities over several years.

Trump also said he is considering a lawsuit against author Michael Wolff, accusing him of conspiring with Epstein to damage him politically. Wolff has previously written critically about Trump and has not responded publicly to the latest remarks.

While Trump’s name appears more than 3,000 times across Epstein-related records, there have been no criminal accusations against him connected to the case. Trump has acknowledged a past social relationship with Epstein but has said he severed ties years before Epstein’s 2019 arrest, claiming he removed Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago property after learning he had targeted young women working there.

Among the newly released materials are FBI tips submitted through the National Threat Operations Center, some of which contain allegations involving Trump. Internal Justice Department emails indicate the tips were compiled in August from individuals described as “Trump accusers,” though many were anonymous or secondhand.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Sunday that such tips are often unverifiable, noting that anonymous submissions and indirect claims limit the government’s ability to investigate them further.
