President Donald Trump announced he is revoking former President Joe Biden’s security clearance and halting his intelligence briefings, calling it a response to Biden’s 2021 decision to bar him from national security updates.
“He set this precedent in 2021,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, referring to Biden’s directive to the Intelligence Community.
Trump also cited special counsel Robert Hur’s February 2024 report, which described Biden’s memory as “hazy” and “faulty.” The White House denied those claims.
“The Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from ‘poor memory’ and could not be trusted with sensitive information,” Trump added. “JOE, YOU’RE FIRED.”
Biden has not responded to Trump’s comments.
