The White House on Friday unveiled a new painting of President Donald Trump commemorating the aftermath of the July 2024 assassination attempt at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The painting now hangs in the State Floor foyer, replacing the traditional position of former President Barack Obama’s official portrait.

Obama’s portrait, previously displayed near the staircase to the presidential residence, has been relocated to the opposite wall—where George W. Bush’s portrait once hung.

The newly installed artwork, painted by Marc Lipp and donated by Andrew Pollock via Blue Gallery in Delray Beach, Florida, shows Trump standing wounded with his fist raised, referencing his “fight, fight, fight!” rallying cry following the attempt on his life.

The White House shared the update and image of the painting in a post on X, highlighting Trump’s unique position as both a current and former president now featured in the traditional foyer space.
