Former President Trump announced the leadership for his 2024 transition team, which will guide policy and personnel efforts ahead of a potential return to the White House. Linda McMahon, former head of the Small Business Administration, and businessman Howard Lutnick, head of Cantor Fitzgerald, will serve as co-chairs. Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), along with his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, will be honorary chairs.
“The 2024 GOP Platform to Make America Great Again is a forward-looking agenda that will deliver safety, prosperity and freedom for the American people,” Trump stated. “We will restore strength, competence, and common sense to the Oval Office.”
Trump Jr. expressed his intent to influence personnel decisions in a potential second Trump administration, stating he wanted “veto power” to block unsuitable candidates.
