Former President Donald Trump accused President Biden and Vice President Harris of inspiring violence against him after a man, Ryan Wesley Routh, was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun near Trump’s Florida golf course. Trump claimed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris was responsible for the incident, telling Fox News Digital, “Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at.”

The incident follows a shooting two months ago at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was injured. Trump continued to criticize his opponents, calling them “the real threat” and accusing them of wanting to destroy the country.

The Secret Service apprehended Routh after spotting a gun 500 yards from where Trump was playing. He was charged with federal gun crimes. Both Biden and Harris condemned the violence, with Harris stating, “I condemn political violence. We all must do our part to ensure this incident does not lead to more violence.”

Trump also posted on Truth Social, accusing the “Communist Left Rhetoric” of escalating violence, while Biden called for cooler heads after the previous July shooting.
