A recent Bloomberg/Morning Consult poll reveals that nearly half of voters in key swing states are concerned about potential violence during the upcoming presidential election. The survey, which included states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, found that 31% of respondents have little trust, and 18% do not trust at all, that the election and its aftermath will be free from violence. Only 16% expressed a high level of trust.
In a hypothetical electoral match-up, the poll shows former President Trump leading President Biden by 4 percentage points, with Trump at 48% compared to Biden’s 44%. This sentiment is echoed in a New York Times poll, which places Trump ahead in several swing states, though Biden leads in Wisconsin by 2 points.
