Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem did not rule out using Guantanamo Bay in the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, calling it “an asset” under evaluation. Speaking on Fox & Friends, she stated, “It’s the president’s decision, but we’re going to continue to look at how we can use all of our assets to keep America safe.”

Noem also defended DHS’s decision to revoke an extension of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans, which had been granted under former Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. She cited concerns over Venezuelan gangs like Tren de Aragua, stating, “People want these dirtbags out.”

Additionally, Trump will sign the Laken Riley Act on Wednesday, named after a woman killed by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela. Meanwhile, Colombian President Gustavo Petro initially refused deportation flights but reversed his stance after Trump threatened tariffs.
