Elon Musk offered a small gesture of reconciliation Thursday night after a bitter public feud with Donald Trump. In response to a post by hedge fund CEO Bill Ackman urging peace between the two powerful figures, Musk simply replied, “true.”
Ackman’s post read: “I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country.” The reply came hours after Musk accused Trump of being connected to Jeffrey Epstein and called for his impeachment, escalating tensions over the House-passed “big, beautiful bill” that Musk has denounced.
Although Politico reported the White House was exploring a Friday phone call between Trump and Musk, NewsNation later cited a source saying no such call was scheduled.
Despite Musk’s subdued reply, signs of hostility lingered. He continued posting jabs at Trump, referencing Epstein and criticizing government spending. His pinned tweet remained a poll on forming a third political party, signaling ongoing dissatisfaction with both Trump and the GOP establishment.
