WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene sharply criticized President Donald Trump on Sunday, calling him “insane” following his Easter morning threat toward Iran that included profane language and warnings of military escalation.

Trump posted on Truth Social: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F—in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.” The message came as tensions rise over Iran’s restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Greene responded within hours on social media, writing that Trump had “gone insane” and accusing members of his administration of enabling him. She also criticized the president’s religious language, stating, “Our President is not a Christian and his words and actions should not be supported by Christians.”

The dispute reflects broader divisions among Republicans as the conflict with Iran intensifies. Greene argued the war was “unprovoked” and warned it risks harming civilians while increasing global energy prices tied to disruptions in the key oil shipping route.

Trump has maintained pressure on Iran to reopen the strait, issuing a 48-hour deadline and threatening further strikes. Greene, however, called for de-escalation and urged officials to pursue peace rather than expand military operations.
