Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during a Fox News interview Tuesday, saying she “doesn’t understand” the nuclear threat posed by Iran. Graham’s comments come amid Greene’s vocal opposition to any U.S. involvement in an escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
“I like Marjorie, but… if you don’t understand that Iran, a religious theocracy… would use a nuclear weapon to kill all the Jews, you don’t listen to what they say,” Graham told host John Roberts. He emphasized Iran’s threat to Israel and the broader world, adding, “It is not in the world’s interest to give this religious fanatic a nuclear weapon.”
Greene previously wrote on X that anyone advocating for deeper U.S. involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict is not truly “America First/MAGA,” stating, “We are sick and tired of foreign wars. All of them.”
Graham dismissed concerns of a Republican divide, saying GOP opposition to aiding Israel is rare: “You could literally put [them] in a phone booth.”
