Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of Jeffrey Epstein, has been transferred to a minimum security women’s prison in Texas, according to her attorney. Maxwell had been serving a 20-year sentence in Florida for her role in Epstein’s sex-trafficking network.

Her move comes as she continues to appeal her conviction and follows a recent nine-hour meeting over two days with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. The meeting was part of the Trump administration’s broader response to pressure from both parties to release more details from the Epstein files.

While her attorney, David Markus, confirmed the prison transfer, he declined to share further details. Markus also noted that Maxwell was granted “limited” immunity by the Justice Department last week to answer questions related to the child sex-trafficking case. He added, “Of course, everybody knows Ms. Maxwell would welcome any relief,” but clarified, “This is not a situation where we are asking for anything in return for testimony or anything like that.”
