Washington, D.C. — Newly released congressional deposition videos show that key associates of Jeffrey Epstein were never interviewed by federal investigators, raising fresh concerns about gaps in the government’s handling of the case. Testimony from Epstein’s longtime accountant Richard Kahn and attorney Darren Indyke indicates neither was questioned despite their close professional ties to the late financier.

Both men told the House Oversight Committee they had no involvement in Epstein’s criminal activity and did not witness wrongdoing. However, their statements that they were never contacted by federal authorities highlight potential shortcomings in the investigation into Epstein’s network. Indyke said he did not believe he was ever questioned about Epstein or associate Ghislaine Maxwell, while Kahn stated he had “never been questioned by any government authority.”

The depositions also included expressions of regret. Indyke described his continued work with Epstein after his 2008 conviction as a mistake, while Kahn acknowledged he should have distanced himself sooner after learning of ongoing abuse allegations.

The revelations come as the Trump administration faces continued scrutiny over its handling of Epstein-related records. While the Justice Department has released millions of documents, many remain heavily redacted, and officials say no additional files will be made public following what they described as an “exhaustive review.”

Lawmakers from both parties have pushed for greater transparency, arguing that unresolved questions remain about the scope of Epstein’s activities and the accountability of those connected to him.
