Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) responded to President Donald Trump’s insult about her intelligence by launching a fundraising email Monday evening. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters, “AOC’s low IQ. You give her an IQ test. Let AOC go against Trump,” referencing the cognitive exams he claimed to have taken at Walter Reed Medical Center.
In her response, Ocasio-Cortez quipped, “Hello, Mr. President! Did those doctors ask you to draw a clock by any chance? Was that part hard for you, too? Asking for 340 million people.” The remark came as part of a fundraising message to supporters, mocking Trump’s claim that his test results were “perfect.”
Trump also told reporters he had undergone an MRI and a “secondary” physical earlier this year, saying doctors gave him “some of the best reports for the age.” The White House has not commented on Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks.
The exchange adds to the ongoing verbal clashes between Trump and Ocasio-Cortez, who have sparred repeatedly over climate policy, economics, and social issues since 2019.
